A cold problem
« on: December 08, 2013, 02:56:31 pm »
As of 1.7 snow now falls in extreme hills biomes. And guess which biome sky island is in? I was wondering if there is someway to edit a biome so it will rain instead of snow or something. If there isn't i'm either gonna have to place a million torches everywhere or make a huge barrier at the height limit (which is visible from the height sky island is at)

Hi,

I'm pretty sure glowstone works to prevent snow settling. My city is also constantly getting covered in snow, too :L
Hope this helped, but your probably won't want to use glowstone :P

You should have watched where you were building if you didn't want snow.

We don't change biomes for people

Use glass, it won't affect your lighting, and will stop the snow from falling, yes it will be visible but, its preferable to snow all over the place

yea if there is no way to change the biome then I decided I'm gonna make a huge glass barrier.
