I'm doing two railroads, so you can ride alongside your animals.

I'm keeping a path in the middle for if you feel like walking across the map. Or if you needed to get off somewhere. Although I can't imagine why you would need to get off at 50 blocks underground...

There should probably be designated directional tracks to avoid collisions. Like, you should only be going forward on the right one. Just like real life roads (except for the United Kingdom).

I'll play around with some redstone and see what i can come up with

EDIT:I made a device where you can choose to go straight or turn, its not a 4 way, but it'l have too do, the redstone is pretty compact and not too expensive, i mailed Shaded the location

If I recall correctly, a Redstone signal may be able to switch tracks, but at the speeds that carts go and the general 100 millisecond lag or so it may not be possible.

I think it's really neat. I went back and forth on it for a little while out of boredom.  :D
Sam (TattierAxis84) also offered to make a train station. Maybe this idea is one we can insinuate at the stations?

Oh, Alt, I noticed 1 thing, though. The button is located a little too far from the rail switch. I don't always make it there on time before the rail switches back. :/

I expand the redstone a bit and increased the time the rail was switched

Tatt and I will probably be working on the mining part, still. We're gonna make the first connection under the desert. It'll probably connect close to his home.

I'll work on another connection running towards spawn, possibly in a diagonal path. Still not sure how well that'll work out. I may just end up doing what Doom originally suggested, the columns leading from the border to spawn.

There's me, you, Blood. Anyone else who wishes to speak up?

Do you want to work with us as well, solo? This'll get done a lot quicker with everyone pitching in.
