So I've randomly returned once again from the void that is college to think about my life goals. Where I wanna go in life and other non-required sh-eep.
As one of my life goals, I thought back to this server and a stupidly weird goal I had whilst on it. I had decided to work towards saving up money to put towards the server itself.
Although unofficial at this time, the real goal I set when I first came on the server was to buy everything in the (Donators') shop.

Recently (To me anyway) this donation was updated to show how much you've donated in the form of a badge.
So for the price of everything in the shop, (apart from the merch... Yeahnosorry,) it'll be just under ?200 (Which translates to $305 <USD> (As of now))

So if, in the next 2 - 3 years (Probably not that long <Shifty eyes>), if you see me with a Nether Star, that'll be why...

Random, as I said.
For my last random thought, I was thinking back to the days of Honeypot and thinking of asking if that's still around... Probably not...

Any-who, feel free to post any random thoughts you fine people (And/or other creatures) have on the server.
I'll see if I can hop on from time to time too... No promises.

what do you mean heavily outdated? Did the plugin not work after 1.8 or did it become useless? I always enjoyed the times when honeypot announced that they caught someone and we all celebrated.

I wouldn't say heavily outdated and I wouldn't say it became useless, it was just not very ahead of its time. But don't worry, I'll be coding my own version very soon.

I wouldn't say heavily outdated and I wouldn't say it became useless, it was just not very ahead of its time. But don't worry, I'll be coding my own version very soon.
Sounds cool, an upgraded honeypot. Maybe you could add an unlocked chest with valuables inside which is actually a trapped chest or something because to be honest, little houses with random rare blocks sounded a bit too good to be true.

That wouldn't make sense as people are allowed to take things from unlocked chests ;)

i think he mean's that when they take something from the chest, it would work the same as breaking the blocks.

I understood correctly, read what I said. Players are allowed to take things from unlocked chests without punishment, therefore using an unlocked chest as part of a honeypot would make no sense.

honeypot is a plugin where you can build a house and set the boundaries of that house, and if anyone modifies any blocks inside the boundaries they get automatically baned and it announces their ban to the server

Sorry for coming out of the blue here, but are they allowed to take without punishment if you have signs around saying they can't? Back when I was a mod I banned a person for taking from a chest that I said you could not take from. Was this unfair? I doesn't really matter now, since he is unbanned, but I'm just wondering.

It wasn't really enforced back in the day, and I think I only added it to the staff guidelines later on. I wouldn't say it was unfair then. But yes, if a chest is unlocked, the stuff is free for the taking regardless of signs. LWC locks any container block automatically, and there's numerous amounts of different tools, ie donation chests which only let players put items in and not take them out, there's whitelisting certain groups to access the chests, and of course a player whitelist to allow your friends to access the chests. So yeah there's really no need to ever have a chest unlocked.

i think people left chests unlocked all the time bc they only know that it locks when you place it, no one really tells new people how lwc worked. they just think its either just you, or everyone can access it

Oh, swimmer, you were never an old world dkcraftian lol. Honeypot were little houses that were filled with valuable blocks and such and if you break a block you automatically get banned for a week if I remember correctly. (I haven't been banned for it so I wouldn't know)  ;).
