Can we all just have a moment of silence for bukkit, at the rate its going, sadly; I believe within a few months bukkit will be left with its source code...
It doesn't even have it's code available anymore. Their GitHub along with their downloads were taken down due to a member of their dev team doing this.
Really the only thing left there is half the community, few original staff members, and Mojang lurking the forums probably not knowing what the hell to do. Sad days indeed.
Honestly its been a sad year in the gaming and internet universes, w/ that whole Zoe Quinn thing, then there's Net neutrality, bukkit going down, and a bunch of other unspoken things its been terrible.

The update for 1.8 is suppose to be on September 2,2014 according to the Minecraft wiki and it has not lied to me yet.

Not sure how to respond to this because it's the same thing I was gonna ask you.
1. It takes great skill to put a virus on a mac 2. Use an alt account for your computer not an alt mc account 3. No need to wipe your data unless you are certain its a virus

In the java report at the very bottom it says "Is modded" meaning a mod of any type is installed
"Is Modded: Probably not." If he's reinstalled Minecraft, that should have cleared all his mods anyway.
It says your Java version is 1.6.0_65. The recommended version is 7 Update 67, download it here: https://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp

Reinstall Java and mc if that fails make a new account on your computer, and you're definitely not hacked though I have a hatred for apple products I'll admit those things are about as secure as fort Knox, regardless I do see that your client is modded care to tell which one it is? Optifine has had a few issues with macs in the past

Well yeah I agree the wipe should be when the 1.8 update comes out but I'm really sad to loose all our stuff... hopefully we can save some things in an ender chest...
But starting fresh would be nice lol ....
And also if the wipe does happen does anyone know if our money is kept?
During a wipe everything is lost, what's the point if people get a massive head start?
