Well seeing as were resetting the world, could it be possible to switch to a new protection system? There's a plugin that allows players to earn or buy a certain amount of blocks that can protect using a special tool, this would allow us to have a work around for the EULA as well.

Heads up to everyone, some plugins won't work, obviously I can't get on, but I know for sure that things like the live map or other plugins might be buggy or not work at all.

Stuff like this is why so many people were against the EULA changes, that being said I have noticed that massive servers get away with sticking with the old system I know its a risk but at the moment I see it as the only quick (though temporary) option to boost the amount of money for the server.
Yeah we were planning on adding everything back to the shop and probably a lot more. Have any suggestions on what should be added to the store?
Other than some 1.8 items, "Kits" nothing too op but simple boosts to what a player has, something like: person buys kit that lasts X amount of time, could have some building materials, sponges etc depending on which kit is bought, the amount of time the kit is owned can be extended for a discounted price.

I really hope Microsoft revokes some of the EULA changes...
Not gonna happen, microsoft is a bunch of money grabbing snakes. I would expect updates to come more often for the xbox version if minecraft. Not saying they will stop caring about the CPU version but i would epect to see a lot less devolper support.
Personally I think Microsoft won't pull an EA *cough* sim city *cough* they already stated no intention to change support for all platforms, its just not good at a business standpoint. But every one has their opinion.

I was reading somewhere that bukkit is dead. Is this true?
For lack of a better word, yes it's dead. It's the reason there hasn't been much progress on the server update or wipe, I'm still letting the situation fold out, because there's not much more anyone can do right now.
ok so will the wipe happen without bukkit or will we wait and see?
Well we could update without bukkit if you don't like, having amoney, sethome, ohome etc. Most plugins need bukkit to work

If enough of our plugins switch to sponge would we switch over along with them? At the moment I seecit as the only option...

Hey, I'm randomly back again 9 days later exactly from all the replies. Maybe I check sites in multiple of number of days Anyways, there is a big long list of 40+ alternatives on spigot, which I will not be linking (not sure if I can). Microsoft has bought Minecraft so maybe with their money they can hire lawyers to counter bukkit's DCMA. Microsoft buying Minecraft has no benefit at all besides that probably.
In my opinion Minecraft could use the help of more developers, its gotten very complex just look at the code and you'll see what I'm talking about, Microsoft has resources mojang can really use, and unlike EA Microsoft doesn't ruin games.
