General Discussion / Ink sacks
« on: August 30, 2017, 06:24:05 pm »
We all know the story of the rarest item in the game, maybe you're building a tower or a game, maybe even a house, but suddenly you need a dark colored block, obsidian is too purple and wool too textured so sheep are out of the question, you realize you need the ink sack. Dropped by mobs that are plentiful when never needed and hidden when absolutely necessary.  Every other dye can be taken from flowers or lapis etc. but not that infernal pitch black item. In short what I'm asking, Is there any way to make ink sacks easier to get?

Ink sacks were added to the shop as of earlier today by Lissy (August 31st, 2017)

In the old world, myself and some others were guilty of building monstrous farms for iron and gold; although these farms are not against the rules I will admit they tend to be ugly, very ugly. I propose that if anyone wants to build a farm for gold or iron that they try to build entire gold farms and most parts of iron farms underground. If this isn't possible due to certain restraints such as land area or interfering with other builds please try to disguise the farms as buildings. Although this is purely cosmetic you do save a lot of precious building space that would otherwise be wasted. Gold farms work perfectly at every level and can be made to look very nice when imbedded into the ground. Iron farms cannot be entirely built underground due to limits involving doors but it is possible to have just the spawning areas above ground with killing floors under them. On the last world there were also issues with hoppers, although just a few will not cause issues long lines of them will, so please try to keep things compact. Remember these are just suggestions. I'm not saying this should be a rule in any way, everyone is free to build how they please (to an extent); I'm just saying that these farms look horrible and can be made in ways where they can be hidden in plain sight.

Offtopic / A monumental step for internet freedom happened today.
« on: February 26, 2015, 09:39:21 pm »
Below is a link to an article that speaks about the most important FCC decision of the past two decades. Today (2/24/15) at 12:00am the FCC voted on net neutrality and chose through a dangerously close vote of 3-2, to not only enforce net neutrality as a requirement, they also reclassified the internet into a Title 2 status (so its like water and power now). What does this mean? This means that now all data is to be treated equally regardless of the type, reclassifing the internet as a utility will also allow for the FCC to control internet providers much more effectively meanjng that the two most hated companies in the United States can no longer hold on to their monopolies which translates to more competition thus cheaper and faster internet. Here's the article: http://www.engadget.com/2015/02/26/fcc-net-neutrality/

Suggestions / An idea
« on: July 25, 2014, 02:18:00 am »
As most of us know, The first day of August 2014 will bring a massive change to servers and the multiplayer communities there is no doubt that servers will fail if not downgrade in size. Personally I really don't want that to happen here. I thought it over and devised an idea, Picture this every month we have a goal if that goal is met an item or a set of items is given to every active player on the server (logging at least 48 hours on the server in the given time) once the goal is met a poll is opened up that has five (or any number) of randomly chosen items (Ex: Goal met, please vote on next goal prize 1.sponges (5) 2. Two spawn eggs (randomly chosen but will be same egg) 3. Command access (for 2 months or any time decided) 4. One more home (permanent) 5. 10 of a randomly chosen ore block (though diamond emerald, and gild tend to be much more rare) 6. None of these i like. If the sixth option were to win the poll would be randomized one more time and the 6th option removed for that donation period. You might ask how would we distribute the items won? Well with essentials cones kits once the goal is met the kits open up for a one time use (if that's not possible then an impossible period of reset is set like 10 years. Regardless I want to know what everyone thinks of this and to give a good reason why (because its stupid is not a good reason, niether is I don't know why, nor is its a bad idea). If you don't like something about the system give an explanation of how to make it better (if you can). Anyways I've carried on long enough I'll leave all of you to discuss with myself and amongst each other the topic at hand. Edits: Grammar

Offtopic / an explanation
« on: July 12, 2014, 03:42:29 am »
As most of you know I have not been on the server for a while this is due entirely to a complete and total failure of my computer as younger siblings and computers don't work well together I now have what was once a thousand dollar machine, has become a pile of plastic and metal the plan was to get parts replaced unfortunately my papal went haywire and was rejected at the moment my PayPal account is locked down and I cannot take out any money to pt it toward a laptop or parts. I am not sure in any way when or if I will be able to get back on soon if it is the later then I say goodbye for now I will be active on the forums and if there is ever a mobile patch for irc I will be active there. I wish you all luck in your endevours. As of July 12 2014 I am no longer an active player until further notice. I Herby temporarily give all assests  farms, buildings, and chests to d00m_the_monkey under the condition that any items taken from chests is replenished.

Discussion forum / Mojangs new terms
« on: June 16, 2014, 11:32:31 pm »
As many of you have heard mojang is changing their terms so servers can no longer sell items that regular (non donators) cant get along with other changes that change how servers have run since the beggining I want to ask what's your opinion on the changes and do you think its fair for the players and the server owners. Here's a link to the changes: https://www.mojang.com/2014/06/lets-talk-server-monetisation/

Why you should become a moderator:
I believe I should be a moderator as I am one of the more active players on the server though recently I havent been online as often due to school I care about the server and its well being there are times when you see someone just join start problems and can't do anything about it as there's no one online I'm not saying I or anyone could always be online to help but knowing that I could help out a player when a problem arises I want to have the ability to maintain peace on the server, try to keep the community happy and most of all I want to see the server grow as less people are deter from playing after a grief that no one was around to fix.
