I didn't play on the old map, however I heard a lot of great things about the events that used to go on. I was wondering if we could maybe start doing those again? I was talking to Joshie and she was saying maybe a building competition... If anyone else has any thoughts on this lemme know :3. thanks, swim

I'd be happy to hold a build event if you like, there hasn't been one in a long time like you pointed out. If you or anyone has any ideas for a theme, let me know!

That's actually a good idea. I love dkcraft events because they give you a chance to get to know some of the community and have fun. :)

yayy! I don't have any current Ideas but maybe something to do with summer, something that everyone can eventually use!
I came up with a couple of ideas.... so a few people on the server have made little "game places" that were eventually to be expanded to a carnival or casino. So, maybe we have the competition be to build a huge amusement park, or arcade, or carnival?

A large maze with many obstacles would be an interesting build.

I like the carnival idea but if you were going to do it everyone should work together on one theme park..... if not the carnival it should be something everyone can use, that benefits the server

I think it would be fun to have a "DKDerby" where people race on horses and the crowd can bet money on them.

Its been a while since there has been a server build competition, maybe we could just make up a build theme and have people build for a prize?

A building competition is a pretty easy event to hold, and we could all vote on a theme. People wouldnt have to participate if they didnt feel like it, and we could just set a deadline and have some sort of forum submission for peoples builds. (I dont know if any of you remember the jail I built for a competition on the old map, but it was savage.) Most of our build comps have been for the creation of practical buildings (jails, shops, spawn etc.) but this could be something a little more casual and fun. It also inspires people to really push themselves and awesome stuff always comes out of it. It would spice up the end of this summer if anything 8) 8) 8)

Yeah, I think we'll do what we usually do and have an opt-in theme based build competition. It's the easiest way to go about it. I'm still unsure of a theme though, I know carnival has been suggested, but I was hopefully looking for more, unless of course you're all happy with that.

What about a ruins theme? It'll fit in well with the spawn and in my opinion is a really hard theme to pull off

I agree with wooper, we could all join forces to make a track and race. Prizes for what rank you came in and stuff.

so after a couple days of having the poll up... i guess the "ruins" theme wins! it will go a long with spawn. and its up to deekay on how he wants to do it! wat ever happens good luck to everyone!!!

When i get back I'm going to start a carnival anyways, ive gotten ideas for ways to make rock paper scissors, tic tac toe, and even skeeball
