I've made a lot of friends on this server, and sometimes log on just to talk to them. I think it would be cool to bring back the live map chat so that when I'm sitting somewhere without my laptop, I can still say hi instead of just being a creep and watching the chat..

Livemap chat was disabled because banned players could still chat and were getting on it to continue trolling even though they were banned.

Is there not a way to make it so when a player is banned they have no acces of the live map chat to stop that from happening?
because i would also enjoy to have the live map chat brought back :)

No, there is no way currently to prevent banned players from using the livemap chat.

Like Crichton said, no there isn't. We use ban hammer to issue bans, which isn't compatible with the live map.
Not to worry, I will be implementing IRC chat soon so that players can access the chat outside of the server.

is it possible to do something like this but they just have to sign in with their account and if there is a ban on their account then they cant chat. idk what would work like this but if i find something then ill let you guys know

If we bring back live map chat, Could there possibly be a way to delete the account of the player banned with their ip adress? Like how you ban someone's IP it means they cant make a new account
to use. Can we do that with forum accounts?

There could possibly some way to ban them, but not with our current setup.
I'd rather just have the live map here to view the map, rather then use it for a second chat system.
Like I said, I'll be looking into IRC in the future :)
